Today we visited Agraaria Lagar and Herdade da Chaminé, for a presentation of the Agroop project and to see its technology working at the fields of Herdade da Chaminé.
The visit was attended by the Secretary of State for Planning, Prof. José Gomes Mendes, the Board of Directors of PME Investimentos, managing entity of the Social Innovation Fund (SIF) and Portugal Inovação Social.
Supported by SIF, Agroop is a farming intelligence company listed in the Sifted ranking as one of the main Portuguese startups to follow in 2020 and is revolutionizing the way farms are managed in Portugal and in several international markets.
The technological solution developed by Agroop allows small and medium-sized agricultural producers to accurately monitor their crops, enabling a more efficient use of water resources and an active prevention of risk factors, including pests, diseases and consequently improve crop productivity and efficiency.
